Allergy Policy
École Edwards Elementary School is an allergy aware school so we ask that no peanuts or tree nuts are brought to school. Let your teacher know about your child’s nut or other allergies so necessary precautions can be made.
Edwards Elementary Anaphylaxis Protocol Towards Creating a “Safe and Allergy Aware” School
Students with severe allergies or asthma must complete a school form indicating the types of allergies and necessary treatments. A Medic Alert bracelet should be worn at all times. For those who require epipens, they must be accessible at all times. This can mean that the teacher has the epi-pen in the classroom or the child wears the epi-pen on them at all times. In collaboration with parents/guardians, a decision will be made for each individual child.
